I’m a fortunate young individual with an engineering background and a hands-on addiction to IVD products. These days, I wear the hat of General Manager at Aston Medical Supplies LLC in Oman, where I juggle strategy, operations, and the occasional coffee break. I work with global partners to deliver top-notch IVD products and ensure our clients are more than happy. When I’m not driving profitability or scouting new opportunities, I’m leading a fantastic team and optimizing workflows through automation (because who doesn’t love efficiency?). Staying ahead of industry trends is also part of the job, so I’m always in the loop—unless it’s about the latest TikTok dance trends, of course!
Can you share any significant experiences from your early career that shaped your professional path?
Early in my career, I dove into the highly competitive Pakistani market, which felt like jumping into the deep end of a pool with no lifeguard. But it taught me a lot about the healthcare industry. I learned to approach the market from all angles—horizontally, vertically, and probably diagonally, too—while getting deeper into different areas. My engineering background gave me the ‘tools’ (pun intended) to build a strong foundation for my career. I’m thankful for all the opportunities, guidance, and a healthy dose of faith and perseverance that have helped me along the way. Plus, coffee… lots of coffee!

I spend my days juggling operations to keep things running smoothly and ensuring high-quality medical supplies don’t get lost in the shuffle. I also work with top global companies to bring the latest products to Oman, while trying to make sure the company’s finances stay as healthy as our products. I’m always looking for ways to grow—whether it’s expanding in the IVD sector or diving into food microbiology. Leading my amazing team to greatness is my top priority, all while making everything smarter and more efficient with automation.
How would you describe your leadership style? What key principles guide your approach to leading your team?
I’d describe my leadership style as a mix of teamwork, strategy, and ‘let’s get things done.’ I believe in empowering my team by creating an environment where trust and open communication flow like coffee at a Sunday morning meeting – nonstop. Everyone knows their role, feels valued, and is motivated to contribute, mostly because I keep the vision and goals as clear as my Wi-Fi password!

We keep things running smoothly with top-notch IT tools, making sure everyone’s on the same page—no mind-reading required. We simplify processes so no one’s left guessing their role, and we spend a good chunk of our budget on training, making sure our team stays ahead of trends. It’s all about empowering the team, fostering growth, and keeping things moving forward

I’m really optimistic about the future of Aston Medical Supplies and my journey here. As a team, we’ve made fantastic progress, and we’re excited to keep that momentum going.
